About

I'm a fifth-year PhD student at Middle Tennessee State University, with a primary concentration in Composition and Rhetoric and a secondary concentration Old and Middle English (I like to think that I'm bookending the study of English writing).

Presently, I'm working on my dissertation, in which I explore how threshold concepts of writing studies provide a language for faculty members to share their pedagogical practices so as to lead to a more unified vision of writing within a department.

For my pet projects, I'm interested in Chaucer's use of rhetoric, writing program administration, and anti-discriminatory assessment. I also like to ponder yoga's place in FYW.

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking vegan dishes, solving a Rubik's cube, and spending time upside down.
